Cosmetic Breast Reduction Reviews
"A Brand New Me! - Dr. Decherd is amazing! He and his staff are true professionals. My surgery was 11/21/13. The entire experience was excellent, from the first appointment to the last post op follow up. (Actually sad to be finished with follow ups) I had breast augmentation and a tummy tuck. Dr. Decherd transformed this 50 year old body into a much younger version! He is an artist with a flare for sculpting the female form. I would highly recommend his services!"- Anonymous / Vitals / Feb 19, 2014
"Dr. Decherd and all his staff made my decision to get a breast augmentation an easy one. I had visited another doctor who had recommended I do a lift along with my augmentation which I thought was ridiculous and Dr. Decherd agreed. He did not try to get me to do more. He explained things thoroughly and answered all my questions. I felt comfortable always and I LOVE my new look! I would highly recommend him."- Anonymous / Vitals / Sep 19, 2013
"Dr. Decherd did a FANTASTIC job on my breast augmentation. The staff was very friendly and helpful, and Dr. Decherd answered all my questions and was more than happy letting me try on as many sizes as I wanted to to make sure I'd be happy with the end result. The surgery itself was quick, easy, and the recovery pain was very minimal (this was my first surgery). I had surgery on a Thursday and was back to work the following Monday. One of my implants did drop slightly lower than the other one, and Dr. Decherd did an in-office procedure to fix the problem. I didn't have to pay, which was really nice. Overall, my experience was great. I will say that Dr. Decherd is a very busy man, so his bedside manner might not be what everyone is looking for. He didn't sit there with me for 20 minutes chatting about what my weekend plans were. He's there to do his job and do it right, and that's what he did. Don't mistake his professional demeanor for rudeness. You won't be sorry!! :)"- Anonymous / Vitals / Oct 31, 2013
"He is awesome!! - Dr. Decherd spent a lot of time listening to what is important to me. It's been a year since my breast lift, breast augmentation, and tummy tuck and I had a scar I wasn't happy with (it was a little larger than the other one on my breast) and he was glad to fix it! I would recommend him to all those mommies out there who want to feel good about there body again!! He did an excellent job and his staff is absolutely amazing! Pick him!"- Anonymous / Vitals / Jun 23, 2013
"I had breast augmentation and a tummy tuck with Dr. Decherd. It was a wonderful experience, from my consultation, to my day of surgery, and my follow up visits. I have recommended Dr. Decherd to friends and family, as I am thrilled with the outcome!"- Anonymous / Vitals / Aug 06, 2013
A good breast reduction doesn't just reduce the volume of the breasts, it lifts and reshapes them so they're "perkier" as well as smaller. Dr. Decherd typically uses an inverted "T" or anchor incision, which encircles the areola, descends vertically down the lower pole of the breast, and then horizontally in the inframammary crease. The result is an incision that resembles an anchor. Once he removes the excess skin and breast tissue, the nipple and areola are repositioned higher on the chest and then the breast is reshaped to achieve a more youthful appearance. Breast reduction surgery usually involves a reduction of the areola diameter as well. Sometimes, if it's necessary, liposuction is used to remove excess fat from the area between the breast and the armpit.

Breast Reduction FAQs
Reduction Or A Lift?
Many women are unsure about whether they want or need a breast reduction or a breast lift. A breast reduction (reduction mammoplasty) and a breast lift are almost always related. The primary difference is that a breast lift removes skin, but little breast tissue. A breast reduction is similar, but removes much more breast tissue. All breast reductions have a lift as part of the procedure.
How Bad Is The Scarring?
With breast reduction surgery there is always some noticeable scarring, but over time the scars fade. Many women worry about scarring with a breast reduction, but afterward they usually feel that the physical benefits of the reduction, along with a more youthful appearance, are a fair tradeoff for any scarring. Most women find the scarring secondary to their new breast shape.
How Is The Recovery?
Breast reduction is an outpatient procedure. Patients will be sore and slow moving for the first day or so, but then should be able to get around without a problem. For the first several weeks, Dr. Decherd will recommend that the patient wear a compression bra to protect the breasts. Patients may resume normal activities within the week, but should avoid exercise for about 4-6 weeks. Results are visible immediately after the surgery, but it does take several months for the breast to take on a normal, final appearance. Nipple sensitivity will slowly return within the first year.
How Much Does This Cost?
The final cost will be discussed during the consultation, however the average cost for breast reduction is between $5,000 and $10,000. When we quote our fees we quote the entire cost, which includes use of the surgical facility, anesthesia, surgeon, and any other ancillary fees. Usually the only extra costs are prescriptions and new bras.
