Had my surgery April 7th, felt very comfortable during my consultation and before going into surgery. Post-op, my tummy tuck incision never hurt just the normal back pain and discomfort with the drainages. My belly button looks great, get lots of compliments on it. Feeling and looking good. I'm so happy to be writing this review because my results are far better than I was imagining. I scheduled a consult last December with the PA to sort of fast track things and saw the Dr in February and surgery the beginning of May. I had my old implants removed and replaced, breast revision, and lipo of chin and arms and I couldnt be any more thrilled with the results. I changed my mind several times about the size of implants (afraid of going too big) but the office never made me feel like I was a bother or high maintenance-- everyone, Dr. included, was very patient and informative. Everything from the initial scheduling to payment to surgery and post op care was easy breezy. The OR girls are so fun and sweet as can be and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Dr. Decherd is on his A game and makes it all look easy even when its not. I had a few other consults with surgeons and knew before I left My consult with the Dr I'd be scheduling with him- it just felt right. I was so nervous coming into this appointment, but from the moment I walked into his office his staff was so friendly. Almost a year later, without a doubt, Dr. Decherd changed my life. After a 50 lb weight lost, and 30 lbs a couple years before that, my body was a wreck, an unrecoverable wreck. Dr. Decherd was recommended by my GP, and I can't thank her enough. With Dr. Decherd, you will find all the qualities you are looking for when considering plastic surgery. First, he is an ethical and decent human being. He is not there to upsale you, and get you to have surgery that really doesn't deliver the bang for the buck. Dr. Decherd is very careful to manage your expectations. I'm an older woman. He was honest about what my results would look like. I was not going to walk out of surgery looking like I was 24. But my results were better than I had hoped for. I looked the best I could imagine. Better than expected. Years of obesity were wiped away. I don't care what anyone says, I know, you cannot exercise away loose and saggy skin. I tried. I had a lot of procedures done. Dr. Decherd took time to evaluate me based on my age, general health, and giving me recovery information so we could come to a safe and mutual plan. His surgery center is in the same building as his office. It is immaculate, the staff well trained and caring, and I was well attended to. I had all the information I needed to know; what to expect during recovery. Before the surgery, I had all the meds I would need. The office and staff are very well run. They have their processes down. That makes a huge difference. You don't want to deal with people who don't care when you're having surgery. Everyone you talk to will care. I had the following surgeries, spread out over 3 surgeries, in 3 consecutive months. They were: tummy tuck and breast lift. Then lower face lift, neck lift, eyes, and skin reduction on my arms (you know, the wings?) Last surgery was skin reduction on my inner thighs. On the last surgery, I had a bit of revision to my eyes. It was no problem. What I loved, and had a hard time believing is, he cares that you are satisfied, really. The revision to my eyes was no problem, no extra cost. You also have lots of follow up visits to check your progress, and ask all the questions you will have about how your recovery is going. We all want instant results, and here is another instance of Dr. Decherd being very good at managing expectations. So it's been 9-1/2 months since the first surgery. I am having the time of my life with my new body. The most profound changes are my super flat stomach and the chin lift. Holy smokes, I wore a two piece bathing suit all this summer. (And I looked hot.) Honestly, it all came together. I feel confident wearing shorts, bathing suits, and clothes that accentuate, not hide, my body. My arms fit in blouses and my legs in pants. I can even go without a bra should I choose too. I don't have to try and adjust my chin and neck position trying to hid the layers of loose skin, when taking pictures. This is the first time in my life, since I was 15 y/o, that my body is not stopping me from joining in whatever activities and social situations I come into. This is freedom. I highly recommend this doctor for anyone looking to get a picture perfect tummy! My tummy tuck came out amazing. Dr. Decherd and his staff were super flexible and accommodating to me. They made an exception for a surgery date for me, which may not always be possible, but they were willing to try. I will forever be appreciative of how cautious he was in making sure I was in tip top shape before surgery. My son's ENT recommended Dr. Decherd for a septoplasty. Dr. Decherd answered all our questions and didn't charge us for the consult like some of the other offices did. Dr. Decherd also answered all my questions concerning all medical safety issues, which were big concerns for me. He also showed my son what his fixed nose would look like on a computer, which helped finalize the decision. A terrible experience with implant remove and replace after capsular contracture left me feeling deformed, regretful, and hopeless. Thank goodness a teary-eyed late night google search led me to a review that absolutely paralleled my situation. I left my first consultation with Dr. Decherd feeling slightly apprehensive since my trust in plastic surgeons had been completely shattered, but his patience, understanding, and sincere concern for my well-being encouraged me to move forward with a Capsulorrhaphy and I couldn’t be more pleased! If you’ve been told you have to settle with less than stellar results due to “bottoming out” or “aging skin”, don’t believe it. Do your research and I’m sure you will find that Dr. Decherd can provide your solution! For me, he’s been a game-changer! More

Had a tummy tuck with lipo to the flanks. Dr. Decherd's staff is amazing! They were friendly and answered all my questions before and after surgery. Dr. Decherd himself created a masterpiece! I could not be happier with my results. I did find it interesting that he takes a very "back to basics" approach as far as prepping and healing from surgery. There were no pre-surgery labs done. In fact, I only met with him one time prior to surgery and that was at my consultation 2 months before the procedure. But, I called about a week before I went under and they answered all my questions/concerns about the upcoming surgery. As far as recovery, there were no supplements/massages/special binders recommended either. Basically, just wear a compression garment for 6 weeks and that was it. I am now 10 weeks post op and just had my final meeting with him. Everything looks amazing and has healed beautifully! You definitely need to do your research and know what you're getting into. I joined some social media groups that were very useful to help me know what questions to ask and what to expect, which was good because I got very little of this information from Dr. Decherd's office up front. Overall, I would say Dr. Decherd is a wonderful talented surgeon who will give you incredible results. But, it will be your responsibility to research the ins and outs of what to expect, because there isn't a lot of hand-holding from them! More

I had cool sculpting with Kelly. I can't complement her enough. She talked to me about what to expect. She gave me a spa robe. She explained in detail exactly how cool sculpting worked and what results I could see. She measured my body and took before pictures. She made me feel extremely at ease by answering all my questions.. She made sure I was comfortable on the bed, gave me extra pillows and a blanket. Had a tummy tuck with lipo to the flanks. Dr. Decherd's staff is amazing! They were friendly and answered all my questions before and after surgery. Dr. Decherd himself created a masterpiece! I could not be happier with my results. I did find it interesting that he takes a very "back to basics" approach as far as prepping and healing from surgery. There were no pre-surgery labs done. In fact, I only met with him one time prior to surgery and that was at my consultation 2 months before the procedure. But, I called about a week before I went under and they answered all my questions/concerns about the upcoming surgery. As far as recovery, there were no supplements/massages/special binders recommended either. Basically, just wear a compression garment for 6 weeks and that was it. I am now 10 weeks post op and just had my final meeting with him. Everything looks amazing and has healed beautifully! You definitely need to do your research and know what you're getting into. I joined some social media groups that were very useful to help me know what questions to ask and what to expect, which was good because I got very little of this information from Dr. Decherd's office up front. Overall, I would say Dr. Decherd is a wonderful talented surgeon who will give you incredible results. But, it will be your responsibility to research the ins and outs of what to expect, because there isn't a lot of hand-holding from them! More

All I can say is go to nurse injector Jules for Botox! I was a first-timer- and she informed me of everything I needed to know, made me feel extremely comfortable, and the icing on the cake? My face looks ABSOLUTELY amazing. I am only 28 years old so starting to see wrinkles for the first time was a... “weird” feeling for me. She was able to give me just the right amount to where it wasn’t overdone, but my wrinkles are GONE! Yes, gone! Feeling beautiful is important to me, especially during the times I am starting to see changes in my appearance that I don’t necessarily like. Let me just start by saying I LOVE my results! I'm 12 weeks Post Op, I had a tummy tuck with muscle repair and lipo. I literally teared up when I saw my stomach for the first time. I saw over eight local plastic surgeons in san antonio and i found Dr. Decherd prices and professionalism won above all the Drs i saw. I did a lot of research before choosing and I have no regrets at all choosing Dr. Decherd. Two of my friends i recommended him to also had excellent outcomes. They both went to Dr Decherd on my recommendation and came out with excellent outcomes. One had a facelift and she experienced some medical complications but Dr Decherd and his staff stepped in and took immediate care of her. My friend had no issues using the cosmetic insurance Dr Decherd offers all his patients to cover the $costs for the medical complications that came up. I personally didn't have to use that cosmetic insurance but i recommend everyone get it. I think its called CosmetAssure. My other friend had a breast augmentation and her work looks amazing. I had my procedure the end of May. My whole experience was amazing. The staff is very sweet and attentive anything I needed, they were ready and available to help me with or accommodate to. The surgery went well and I was very pleased with my results. 🤗 I am 41 and I must say I feel and look like I’ve erased years off myself. 🤔 Did I mention that the office is super luxurious with amazing decor and very high tech, but the absolute best part is the snacks; 🍬candy and chips! Sorry I always get distracted with SNACKS 😂. Moving on to the POINT. Dr. Dechard 👨⚕️ was out of this 🌎 world. He made me feel comfortable and that is super important to me. I visited 2 other doctors before him but his rapport with me is why I made my decision to chose him. My consultation with Dr. Dechard is what sold me on choosing him. He was friendly and took time to make sure all my questions were answered. He did not make me feel like he was in a rush. His staff is the best -- they try to help you as quickly as they can. Dr. Dechard did a wonderful job on my tummy tuck w/ muscle repair, breast lift, and liposuction. I had lost over 100 pounds and after 29 years of being obese, my body just could not recover. My loose skin is gone and I can finally buy pretty underwear and clothes! No more frustration in dressing rooms and no more hiding parts of my body that I couldn't stand. Dr. Dechard's work is wonderful! My scar is barely noticeable around my areolas, and I am only 2.5 months out from surgery (Nov. 26th, 2018). I want to say first off I have thought about getting a breast augmentation for years. I saw another highly rated Dr and was so disappointed I left and put it off for another year. Im 10 months post implant revision (I was pleased with the first implants he did but changed my mind a few years later on the size) and love the way I look. Mind you this is my 3rd breast surgery. 1st time ten years ago was a lift and implants-gained weight and they turned into basketballs lol-so 2nd surgery was a reduction, remove implants, lift...So after 2.5 years I felt they were deflated (I lost weight) so this time I just got the smallest D implants (I have breast tissue) and they were just right. In fact, he did the best job of all three surgeons. Plastic surgeons have to have an appreciation for what they do and not just think of it as 'what they do'-they also must be visionaries as to what this or that SHOULD look like on a woman. In other words, you must find a surgeon that at least looks like he appreciates a nice rack or you're going to get the 'run of the mill' special. I believe Dr. Decherd knows what he is doing. More

I had a tummy tuck in summer 2015. It has been 12 weeks, and I am extremely happy with the work of Dr. Decherd. Even though this is a major surgery, I started to feel better right after I got out of the anestesia which is about day 3 or 4. By day 5, I started to feel much better. After day 15th you are able to do more and have more energy. I am still the same person, but in a new body. It's like a new Me! Dr. Decherd is the Best! My experience is unique. I've had a relationship with Dr. Decherd for 10 years. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in March and chose to have a bilateral mastectomy. I understood that Dr. Decherd no longer took this type of case, however, I requested an exception, as I needed the best. Beginning my journey there were many unknowns. Had a great experience. The staff was always kind, and very helpful. I thought I wanted saline till I actually went in for my consultation. At my consultation I decided on the more natural feeling silicone implants. I was able to see what the implants would look like on me with a cool machine they had. Also got to wear them in a bra to feel the weight of them. I was not bed ridden after my surgery. I actually went out to eat after my surgery and was in no obvious pain. My chest area felt heavy and I was unable to lift, push or pull. I experienced little pain. In fact I had plenty of painkillers left over after 3 months. I did not have any post op bleeding or complications. A whole month after my surgery I was able to return to my normal exercising routine witch includes running, and lifting weights. The scars are small under my breast fold. Three months later, and the scars have already faded quite a bit. Each week that passes by they get lighter and lighter. I?m absolutely happy and in love with my new breast, they were exactly what I wanted and everything about the experience went way better than I even imagined. Dr. Decherd did an amazing job. He was always kind, professional, and he told me he was gentle during the surgery because he knew I had to fly out the next day. More

When a friend of mine found Dr.Decherd, I was hesitant in going in for a consultation. Let me start by saying that I had already had 2 tummy tucks with a doctor in Austin, TX in 2009. Needless to say, I was scared. Man! Did they do an outstanding job of making me feel like it wasn't my fault that the tt went bad! The staff is professional, caring, compassionate and non judgmental. I truly had low expectations for the surgery (which I had on Dec. 2, 2010). WOW!! Do I feel great and do I look awesome? Yes, I do!
