Removal and Replacement of Breast Implants*

This patient had a breast augmentation with saline implants placed by another surgeon over 10 years prior. She was unhappy with the appearance, and felt her left side had "bottomed out." She enlisted the services of Dr. Decherd to replace the old implants with new silicone gel implants. After being educated on implants sizes at her pre-operative appointment (which included deflation of the saline implants) the patient chose 485 cc high profile silicone gel implants. Her new implants fill out the width of her chest better, and Dr. Decherd also made some adjustments to the pockets (capsulopexy) which keep them from falling laterally into her underarms. She looks natural and proportionate and loves her new look!
