I scheduled a consult last December with the PA to sort of fast track things and saw the Dr in February and surgery the beginning of May. I had my old implants removed and replaced, breast revision, and lipo of chin and arms and I couldnt be any more thrilled with the results. I changed my mind several times about the size of implants (afraid of going too big) but the office never made me feel like I was a bother or high maintenance-- everyone, Dr. included, was very patient and informative. Everything from the initial scheduling to payment to surgery and post op care was easy breezy. The OR girls are so fun and sweet as can be and made sure I was comfortable at all times. Dr. Decherd is on his A game and makes it all look easy even when its not. I had a few other consults with surgeons and knew before I left My consult with the Dr I'd be scheduling with him- it just felt right. I researched extensively, and I suggest everyone do that, but can also confidently recommend Dr. D and his staff. This wasn't my first rodeo but it was my best :) More

I scheduled a consult last December with the PA to sort of fast track things and saw the Dr in February and surgery the beginning of May. I had my old implants removed and replaced, breast revision, and lipo of chin and arms and I couldnt be any more thrilled with the results. I changed my mind several times about the size of implants (afraid of going too big) but the office never made me feel like I was a bother or high maintenance-- everyone, Dr. included, was very patient and informative and i never felt pressured to make a decision on anything immediately. Everything from the initial scheduling to payment to surgery and post op care was easy breezy. The OR girls are so fun and sweet as can be and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I got a tummy tuck and boob lift. I was very skeptical and nervous because I was approx 40lbs overweight on the day of my surgery. 2.5 months post op and I am amazed with my results. Flat tummy, perky boobs, and I have a waist!!! Absolutely worth it. Staff is kind and don’t mind answering questions. Dr. Decherd is busy but worth the wait! More

I'm super excited for the big surgery day to get here - I met with Dr. Decherd back in July 2021 for a consultation. I had previously met a couple other local surgeons and was excited to meet Dr. Decherd after extensive research. His before and after's were absolutely amazing and I was eager to meet him. When I arrived I felt welcomed and the nurse who brought me back was really nice and welcoming. I instantly felt comfortable. When Dr. Decherd walked in he explained everything to me and even drew a picture. I felt very informed and I didn't feel that way with the other provider I had meet. My Mommy make over (breast augmentation, tummy tuck and lipo) is scheduled for 11/15/2021 and I'm super excited. For my breast I have decided to go with 485 high profile silicone implants. This fits my chest size of 13 diameter (I think that's what I measured) which was a big concern for me as I don't want boobs that are to far apart and wanted to ensure the implants fit my chest size. For my tummy tuck the goal is to go as low as possible to hide scar and to get rid of as much stretch marks as possible. I plan on discussing this in more detail again during my pre op apt scheduled in October. He will also be doing some lipo to give a smooth contoured look on my sides. I'm hoping to look "snatched" after lol. I'm super excited for the big surgery day to get here!! 34 yr old mommy makeover- breast lift, 350cc low profile aug, tummy tuck, lipo of inner and outer thighs - After having my daughter, no matter how much time I spent in the gym, there were just some body parts that were not going back so I opted for a full mommy makeover. It included tummy tuck with limited lipo, lipo of inner and outer thighs, breast lift, and breast augmentation (natrelle silicon low profile 350 cc). My biggest fear was choosing the right breast size! I wanted upper pole volume but not a ton of projection. It's rather rare for women to opt for low profile but they were perfect for my needs. So ladies if you have a decent amount of breast issue that needs to be lifted and your not looking for a massive size increase but upper fullness and better shape don't be afraid of the low profile! My after picture is just 4 days post op so there is obviously some swelling and my breasts are high but I can already tell I'm going to love the results! Dr Decherd and his staff have been beyond amazing and my after picture speaks volumes about his amazing work. Some tips, rent yourself a recliner lift chair and walker! the lift chair is a game changer! It's comfortable to sleep in and made getting in and out of bed so much easier. Have HELP, I had my mom, dad and husband with me, believe me you will need help for everything the first 3-4 days. The first 4 days are no joke mainly due to the side affects of anesthesia, but by day 5 I felt like I made the turn and have been backing off the major pain meds and the nausea is gone. Thank goodness a teary-eyed late night google search led me to a review that absolutely paralleled my situation. I left my first consultation with Dr. Decherd feeling slightly apprehensive since my trust in plastic surgeons had been completely shattered, but his patience, understanding, and sincere concern for my well-being encouraged me to move forward with a Capsulorrhaphy and I couldn’t be more pleased! If you’ve been told you have to settle with less than stellar results due to “bottoming out” or “aging skin”, don’t believe it. Do your research and I’m sure you will find that Dr. Decherd can provide your solution! For me, he’s been a game-changer! More

Those first few day my husband helped me do everything, even wash my hair lol. My boobs were so high and started off square looking, I knew it was a normal part of the process but it still was freaky. After a few months they started to drop and fluff, not at the same time though. It's almost been a year now and I am so in love with them. I got new bras and they sized me at a 32DD! And that's on coming from 32AA :) I'm so happy I did it! I have 2 kids and was really getting in the best shape of my life before the surgery but my boobs were shrunken from weight loss and deflated from the kids. For years I have been wanting a breast augmentation so I researched some of the top surgeons in the San Antonio and Austin area. Good beside manner is an important contributing factor for me in choosing a surgeon. Dr. Decherd was friendly, attentive and engaging on a personal level. Many times physicians must hop from one patient to the next and it can feel as though you're being rushed in your visit. I feel like Dr. Decherd and his staff provided great individualized care and courteous bedside manner. I've been working with him for almost 2 years now and it's been ups and downs with scar revisions, etc. However Dr. Decherd and his staff have always been there for me and helped me get through it all. He stood by his word and fixed some of the scars and common revisions needed after major plastic surgery. I'm so thankful for everything he's done. I highly recommend doing a consult with him before choosing your plastic surgeon. I saw over eight local plastic surgeons in san antonio and i found Dr. Decherd prices and professionalism won above all the Drs i saw. I did a lot of research before choosing and I have no regrets at all choosing Dr. Decherd. Two of my friends i recommended him to also had excellent outcomes. They both went to Dr Decherd on my recommendation and came out with excellent outcomes. One had a facelift and she experienced some medical complications but Dr Decherd and his staff stepped in and took immediate care of her. My friend had no issues using the cosmetic insurance Dr Decherd offers all his patients to cover the $costs for the medical complications that came up. I personally didn't have to use that cosmetic insurance but i recommend everyone get it. I think its called CosmetAssure. My other friend had a breast augmentation and her work looks amazing. I want to say first off I have thought about getting a breast augmentation for years. I saw another highly rated Dr and was so disappointed I left and put it off for another year. I was not looking for a procedure that would leave me looking unnatural but still wanted to be bigger than I was. I trusted Dr. Decherd and his team with their advice considering my concerns. I couldn't be happier. We did a silicone implant with an under breast insicion. I didn't experience any pain at anytime after my procedure. I was just a little sore which wasn't a big deal. I did however take awhile to adjust to doing chest exercises after my procedure. It took about 3 months until I could do push ups again. And it took a full year for my scar to completely disappear. I'm a nurse and wear scrubs at work, no one can ever tell I had a breast job. I went from a A cup to DD. Which sounds crazy that I specified to not be that big, but I'm telling you on my small frame with the implants we chose it does not look like I have DD's and I get compliments all the time when I do wear tight clothing. It's been a great decision and confident booster. More

My experience with Dr. Decherd and his staff has been an amazing one; since my consultation to now 8 weeks post op (breast augmentation).Dr. Decherd was extremely helpful in recommending what he thought was best for me while also considering the look that I wanted. The office let me come in multiple times just to ask questions and explore the implant options and I was not charged a penny until I was ready to book my surgery. I was very nervous because this was my first surgery, but Dr. Decherd is very experienced and confident. On 4/28/16 I had and tummy tuck and breast augmentation. From the beginning Dr D and his staff was awesome. They took the time to answer every single question. Dr D took the time to explain everything and was very honest and up front about everything. I had absolutely NO complications after my procedure. I admire Dr D art skills as a physician. My incision for the tummy tuck was low and can be completely covered with low rise panties. My breast came out perfect size for my petite body. Today is 5/6 and I'm feeling great! I even went shopping today. No pain, and I'm pretty much walking straight up and not hunched over. Of course i still have swelling but I wear an abdominal binder to help with that but even though there's swelling I can fit in all my clothes:-). My waist line is nice and small, almost all stretch marks are gone. I paid extra for the exparel so all I had to take was Motrin to help with inflammation so I HIGHLY recommend this for tummy tuck. Before surgery I was able to talk with Dr D and the anesthesiologist to address any final concerns. I did not wake up shivering or in excruciating pain. New year, new me! - Dr. Decherd has changed my life! He listened to my concerns, made his recommendations, and made me feel so comfortable during my consult and examination. I had a breast lift with silicone implants and a tummy tuck the end of 2014. The change in my body is unbelievable, even the day after surgery I knew I would love my results. The incisions are smooth and thin. The tummy tuck scar is so low, I could wear a string bikini and it would be concealed. My belly button is absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to show it off! I had visited another doctor who had recommended I do a lift along with my augmentation which I thought was ridiculous and Dr. Decherd agreed. He did not try to get me to do more. Editorial review from Citysearch - Where do I begin!!! I had scheduled two consultations in San Antonio, driving in from Corpus Christi. With my initial consult with the first Dr. I felt horrible. The nurse was cold and when I tried to ask her a question, she looked at me like ... you dare ask ME a question? Then the Dr. came in...Ughh. Horrible. Again, like the nurse... cold, unfriendly and within 2 minutes had decided what I needed. By the time he left... once I had recovered a bit from the shock of how I had been treated, I thought to ask about size, revision and exactly what his plan would entail. By the time I came out no one was around except the scheduler and before I knew it, I was scheduled and paying $200 for a surgery in which I was still very uninformed of! Finally had the chance to catch the doctor. When I asked him about the details, he like the nurse answered me like - I dare ask??? WOW.... I left thinking.. I don't know that I want to go through with this. As I slept on my decision, I started thinking of how my care could potentially be like in the event something did not go well. By the next day, Dr. Decherd's office called to confirm my consultation. I said that I would have to cancel because I had committed to this other office. In April, I had a tummy tuck and breast augmentation. I have been so pleased with my results. Dr. Decherd and his staff are very pleasant and straight-forward.
